- In the mixed version I had to deal with bass and kick mud/clarity issues as well as source material problems with the overall drum sound (i.e. listen for snare definition in the 2nd example).
- There was also sibilance to be dealt with in the vocals and overall mix clarity needed work.
- The tone and punch of various instruments were adjusted via equalization and compression.
- Listen for a more defined sound of each instrument in the 2nd example especially the bass and drums.

- For comparison these are the same stereo files (excluding minor compositional changes in the mixed version).
- Neither version is mastered and they are of equal average RMS power for accurate comparison (-22 dB). RMS is used for measuring the perceived loudness of music.
- I dealt with mix issues to achieve better overall clarity, punch and definition of the instruments involved.
